Connectivity, passion and excellence are the hallmark of the Fine and Performing Arts Division.

With one of the largest Art Departments in an Orange County Community College, the Art Department at Santa Ana College provides students with hands-on and academic training leading to certification, AA degrees, or transfer to a four-year college, university, or art school.

In addition, the Art Department manages two professional, student- and community-centered art galleries on its main campus and in downtown Santa Ana.

Departments, Courses, and Programs

SAC Fine and Performing Arts has created a long history of success among our students and partners with area school districts to offer courses right on the high school campuses.  We offer career certificates, Associate degrees, as well as Associate degrees for transfer to 4-year universities in our departments.

The gallery program provides students and visitors with world class art shows of prominent national and international artists, to encourage participation and discussion in the art viewing community at large and to further enrich the cultural landscape of Santa Ana.

Faculty

Our faculty is second-to-none in each discipline, many of whom are active artists and professionals in addition to their teaching responsibilities. Our community and students benefit from the experience brought to the instructional programs by visual artists whose work is shown nationally and internationally.
