SAC Arts presents…

Rachel Nicole Joy

Rachel Nicole Joy's art is a testament to her belief in the power of artistic imagery as a safe space for conveying and evoking emotion. Through her creations, she aims to spotlight important topics and foster healing, drawing from her personal journey of recovery through art.

Rachel’s work explores the intersection of personal healing and collective experience, particularly through the lens of women’s stories and the silent, often unseen struggles they endure. Drawing from her own life and the shared history of women, she uses painting to confront trauma, reclaim agency, and celebrate resilience.

This collection is both an act of expression and a call to unearth the truths that have been dismissed or distorted; honoring vulnerability, survival, and the power of reclamation.

Rachel Nicole Joy is an accomplished artist whose work delves deeply into emotional expression and societal issues, particularly those affecting women. A graduate of the Laguna College of Art and Design, Rachel holds a BFA in Drawing and Painting with an emphasis in Illustration.

Rachel has gained extensive experience through various internships and assistant roles. She interned at the Moulton Museum in the fall of 2023, where she contributed to exhibit preparation and guest assistance. In 2024, she served as a studio assistant to Timothy J. Clark, honing her technical skills and assisting in the maintenance of a professional studio environment.

Her work has been featured in several prominent exhibitions, including “A Woman’s Place” at the Ebell of LA in early 2025, the “41st Irvine Annual” at the Irvine Fine Arts Center in Summer 2025, and "The Future of the Figure" at the Billis Williams Gallery in March 2024.
